In 2006
we again started out strong and then had more
problems - The same torque converter broke, but this
time I knew what it was and we changed brands to
Continental and haven't had a problem with it since
. Then we blew a head gasket and wounded the
aluminum head and were out of action for a while
again . So our season finally got on track towards
the end of the year where we finished very strong .
We were invited to race at the 15th Annual
California Hot Rod Reunion in the A/FX class where
we took runner up honors. This was the first race
with the Cabo Wabo Tequila decal on the car.
We then
went to the Fun Ford Weekend 's Pacific Nationals at
California Speedway and found ourselves in the final
round again in the Quick Ford class and lost a
really close race -runner up again . Next off to the
Fuel and Gas Finals at Famoso raceway where we
lasted 4 rounds and lost in the 1/4 finals in the
Hot Rod Eliminator class . Two weeks later its the
American Nostalgia Racing Association Finals - a two
day , two race finish to my season . The car was
running great and we were blessed with a great
weekend of racing when we doubled up winning both
races at the final event of the year in the Hot Rod
Eliminator class. We finished the season winning 25
of our last 28 rounds of racing...

hope this luck carries over to the 2007 season which
will start before you know it .
